Spousal Abuse Cases
Domestic violence is the physical violence, threatened violence, and abuse which occurs in relationships. If the violence occurs between married couples it is also called spousal abuse. If children are involved, domestic violence could also included child endangerment charges as well. Domestic violence can include any threatening act even if the accused did not intend to harm or compromise the safety and security of the victim.
Domestic violence is taken very seriously by the Indiana State government. If you are accused of Domestic violence it is very difficult for the victim to drop the charges even if they do not want to press charges. The prosecutor is the only one who can drop the charges.
The law regarding domestic violence is highly complex and specialized. It is very important to contact an attorney who is qualified and experienced in defending your case.
